The place is well situated, but there was no hot water, the bar service promised on the website never appeared, and a scorpion was found in the bathroom.

The room itself was fine: spacious, with a well‑working air‑conditioner, fast and stable internet, and the pool area with an outdoor shower was nicely designed; the location was quiet yet central. However, we booked three nights in the high season at the start of January and were shocked to arrive in a completely different room than the one we had paid for. The first room was a windowless basement room with no private bathroom, sparsely furnished, and surrounded by a high fence—more like a storage space than a guest room, and it was utterly unacceptable and not comparable to the booked room. The price we paid for that room was, in our view, completely unjustified. We then approached the on‑site staff, who gave us the owner’s phone number. The conversation was very uncomfortable: the owner seemed unfriendly, pretended not to understand English, and eventually said something along the lines of “And now what do you want from me?” We were told no other rooms were available, that there was an overbooking, and we had to either take that room or cancel. Since it was New Year’s and most accommodations were either booked or extremely expensive, that was effectively no option. Only after we mentioned contacting Booking did the staff internally discuss the issue and ultimately hand us the originally booked room. That left a very unpleasant impression, as it seemed we were initially being offered a much worse room. The shower only had cold water (common in Puerto Escondido, but still worth noting). The rooms are very noisy—conversations from neighboring rooms are audible, and at night dogs in the vicinity bark loudly.

“Precio-calidad está bien… no es el mejor pero te saca de apuros!”

I liked the price‑to‑quality ratio compared to other places in Puerto, but I didn’t appreciate that next to my room there was a vacant lot or a house, and the whole day was filled with music and a lot of noise.

“Very dissapointing!”

Location wasn’t bad but neither great!. 1) No hot water!!! (they say the shower is with “agua del tiempo) 2) Bathroom smelled quite bad and the walls were dirty and mouldy! 3) Water leaked into the room from the shower! 4) there is no bar or 2 restaurants as stated! 5) overall facilities were poor, the fridge in the main kitchen was dirty, just a mess really! 6)There is no signage to find the property on the road! 7) staff was always upset / grumpy! 8) very noisy overall! Doors don’t close properly and there was always noise outside, from either cars or people! Nothing phonically sealed. 9) a worm / bug dropped on my face during the night from the ceiling as there are holes in the walls at high level. 10) so much for a Delux place where they charge an arm and a leg for very poor facilities! Paying $140 per night absolutely NOT WARRANTED!

I highly recommend this place; it has a very good location, the owner is super attentive and very nice, and I would definitely return.
