It’s a dated hotel that’s been slightly renovated. The staff is truly nice and helpful, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Good value for money. The shower is open without a box or curtain.

“Molto più di quello che credevamo. Torneremo.”

They swapped our room right after we arrived because it didn’t have a bidet (check before you book). The rooms are spacious enough and fully renovated. The shower is large, clean, and the bathrooms lack a vacuum or window but have good height. The full‑size double bed is comfortable, and after asking for pillow replacement there were no further issues. Everyone on staff was courteous, the home‑style restaurant was very friendly, and there’s parking under the hotel. Breakfast had everything needed, including lactose‑free milk (hard to find elsewhere). There’s also a small market corner. Air conditioning is absent but absolutely unnecessary; the new PVC windows are insulating.

“Piacevole da consigliare”

The staff were exceptionally attentive to gluten needs, making the place a true haven for celiacs from breakfast through dinner. Free parking is available in the front lot, and the location is ideal for exploring nearby spots like Abetone, the beautiful forest trails, the picturesque Lago Santo, and the charming village of Fiumalbo. Romano, the owner, is the only person who really cares and is always available, and he’s a genuinely pleasant individual. The only downside was the lack of fresh air circulation in the bathroom.
