The Hampton Inn & Suites West Haven is 2 miles from downtown West Haven, Connecticut, and 4 miles from Yale University. Spacious rooms offer free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and coffee makers. I really liked it, but the front‑desk service left something to be desired.

Breakfast was decent and the location is great; the lady at the desk, Tia, was very rude when I asked a simple question about check‑in and the bathroom, but she was different and nice when I returned with my husband. We usually stay at Hampton Inn anywhere, but this time I would never come back to West Haven CT.
