The location is somewhat near town. However, the housekeeping was appalling: vomit or spillage was found on the side of the bed, indicating the beds weren't moved when cleaned—gross. The ceiling paint was peeling, mould and dust were everywhere, fingerprints were visible, and leftover food and rubbish were left on the pull‑out couch. There was no smoke alarm in the unit, yet it had a cooking facility. Half the freezer was frozen solid for an unknown length of time, and the toaster was filthy. Stains on the pillowcase and hand towel were also present. As someone who works in hotel housekeeping, I can overlook one or two mistakes, but seeing the wall damage beside the bed was just too gross.

“Terrible.”

The property is close to the shops, but it should be removed from listings because it is filthy: cigarette odor, stale biscuits on the shelves, a dirty floor, and a king bed that was actually two mismatched singles—one firm, one hard. Walls and dishes in drawers were dirty, the bathroom was damp with moisture on the wall and a wet floor in the morning, and black mould grew in the wardrobe, bedroom, and bathroom. This place is a health hazard!

“I felt the unit was worth a third of the price I paid and was very disappointing.”

The bed was comfortable and the unit’s size was adequate, but the smell upon entering was unpleasant. The unit next to mine had scruffy, ripped curtains and looked like a disorganized storage space.
