Buckland Manor, a 13th-century Relais & Chateaux Hotel, is nestled in immaculate gardens featuring croquet lawns and tennis courts. Sumptuous bedrooms offer bathrobes, fresh apples, and toiletries, with some featuring four-poster beds or antique furnishings. The award-winning restaurant serves fine dining with a modern British menu, utilizing fresh local produce from the Vale of Evesham and herbs from the Manor's grounds, accompanied by a magnificent wine cellar.

The breakfast was top‑class and the location couldn't be better. The only downside was the artwork; most of the portraits were mediocre and didn't match the hotel's stature, whereas a few auction‑priced pieces could have added real flair.

The place is in a great spot, the staff are friendly, the food is superb, and the gardens are lovely. The only drawback is the hefty service charge added to meals and drinks.

The gardens are gorgeous for strolling, the staff are very attentive, the room is comfortable, and the catering is exceptional with a clear understanding of allergens and intolerances. They even left a gluten‑free, dairy‑free brownie in my room upon arrival and kept a note on the room so I didn't have to mention it each time. The only issue is that it's a bit out of the way and taxis are scarce; the reception can book them for you, but you should give plenty of notice to avoid long waits.

It was an absolute fairytale of a place to stay—royalty vibes everywhere, with lovely staff, large rooms, and a stunning property; I highly recommend it as a treat on your vacation.
