I only stayed one night, but the place was spacious, comfy, and set on a lovely estate. The bed was cozy and we slept soundly, making it a great value for overnight stays.

It’s a wonderful retreat in a very secure spot. The only downside is that a proper workstation would help if you’re mixing business with a bit of leisure.

The cottages feel like secluded gardens, and the mornings are filled with abundant birdlife. Bringing our large dogs (AmStaffs) disrupted the flow, yet the owners and staff handled it smoothly. We had to keep them leashed because other dogs roam the property. It was chilly, so the owners suggested keeping the heater on at night, which we appreciated. MTB riders will find trails starting 2 km from the venue. However, if you plan to stay full‑time with your dogs, the facilities are limited—there are no off‑leash areas. For those using it as a base to sleep and then explore, you’ll find hard‑pressed to get better accommodation.
