“Als Notlösung okay, kann man aber nicht wirklich empfehlen.”

We spent a night there while trekking the Ostweg and were greeted by a friendly host; the towels and bedding were clean, and it served as a last‑minute solution for one night. The décor looked very dated and worn, the radiators were covered in dust, and the carpet was heavily used; compared with other stops on our hike it felt far too pricey, and paying cash was a hassle. The booking page already listed the tourism tax, yet an extra €7.60 was charged at checkout.

The owner was friendly, but we got the impression he didn’t expect holidaymakers on the move. The hotel is very old, everything creaks, there’s a strange odor, the sanitary facilities are shared on the floor, and the beds were not clearly marked as very bad – this shouldn’t be allowed in a hotel.

“Was blij dat ik na twee vertrok .de lucht van het Italiaans restaurant ruik je op de kamer.”

Never before had I had such a bad room; it was filthy, the sink hung loosely, the faucet was broken, the toilet was never cleaned, and it was all old junk. The price‑quality ratio is terrible, and I can’t believe this is posted on their site. Shame.

“Grausam”

The only thing that was decent was the Italian name of the place. Everything else fell apart: it was filthy, there was no private toilet or shower, the room was cold, no Wi‑Fi, and yet they still charged 70€ for a night.
