The flat was spotless, with three bedrooms, a huge living room and a balcony that looks straight over the garden. The AC unit sits in the hallway, so opening the door lets cool air drift into the rooms – we never felt hot, and the two indoor kitchens plus a fully equipped outdoor kitchen were a nice bonus, especially with the pool and river in the garden.

The hosts welcomed us right away and made us feel like we were staying at a friend’s place, while still respecting our privacy. Their garden kitchen was a real highlight – we spent a lot of time cooking and eating out there.

The outdoor area was fantastic, and having an external kitchen let us make the most of the sunshine all day. The only downside was that the mattress was a bit too firm for our liking.

“Magisch!”

The garden, complete with a pool, outdoor kitchen, shower and toilet, felt like a little oasis beside a river, and the shutters on the windows kept the rooms nicely dark; the air‑conditioning worked perfectly. On the flip side, the outdoor kitchen only had basic utensils and the double beds were a little cramped for taller guests.
