The King Room with Patio features a private patio and garden view, with a hot tub for guest use. The room has a private bathroom with a bath, shower, and hairdryer, and is equipped with a refrigerator, satellite TV, and electric kettle. This room sleeps 2 guests and has an entire unit located on the ground floor, with a private entrance and free WiFi.

The Executive Suite offers lake views and a private hot‑tub. It is air‑conditioned, includes a living area and a separate bedroom with one bed, and can accommodate two extra beds for up to four guests. The en‑suite bathroom features a walk‑in shower and a bathtub, and the room provides a flat‑screen satellite TV and a minibar.

The scenery is very beautiful, but I find that the beds need to be improved as I battled to sleep the time I was there. The king bed was formulated by joining 2 quarter beds together and the line that joins the beds together was really uncomfortable and made it very difficult for me to sleep. I wanted to stay much longer but I thought of how uncomfortable the bed is and decided not to extend my stay. Another issue I did not like was the temperature of water in the shower. Middleburg is cold and found the lukewarm water not pleasant for morning cold showers. I think the rest was excellent, especially the food was very nice. I had the best lamb chops I have ever tasted. One last issue was the doors that separate the rooms have to be stronger as to improve the privacy between the two joining rooms. You always could hear all that was happening in the next room. Breakfast (yoghurt with fruit) was okay, dinner was greasy, we arrived after dark and the first impression was shady, but in daylight we saw it was a decent spot and the room was definitely top. Overall a fine stopover between Kruger/Panorama route and Joburg.
The owner was very friendly and the fireplace was fantastic. The restaurant’s food was outstanding. We enjoyed our stay.
