I stayed at a charming old hotel right on the sea front and the view was absolutely stunning; we even left the window open at night to hear the waves. The bed felt a little cramped, and my poached egg wasn’t drained properly, so my breakfast plate ended up soggy with water on the toast, but otherwise the breakfast was excellent.

The breakfast staff were very polite and friendly, and the service was quick and efficient. The food was very good, especially the eggs, fruit salad, and porridge, though I wish they had offered croissants.

The room was lovely and the sea view was amazing; we enjoyed the B and B, which suited us well, and the location was spot on. However, the description about the spa was misleading: unlike other spa hotels where the pool is free, here it cost £50 for 90 minutes, which felt excessive given we paid over £400 for the stay, and we were disappointed. They did offer free access to the municipal pool, but it had poor reviews, so we declined.
