The staff’s warmth, especially at the restaurant, was a highlight, and we really enjoyed chatting with a lovely blonde waitress; the bedding was very comfortable and the room was suitable. The bathroom was rather old‑fashioned: a shower without a protective wall or curtain (though there were a rod and rings), so even careful showers turned the floor into a slip‑prone pool; the mirror above the small sink was so low that I had to bend down to see myself, often touching the lower part of my neck – I’m not 1.80 m tall!
“Hôtel bien placé”
Friendly staff, close to the sanctuary, spacious room, and air conditioning. The view from the back of the hotel was not ideal; I would have preferred a front‑facing room, and the bedding comfort was lacking.
It was centrally located with a short walk to the church, and the rooms were clean.
“Great walking distance to the shrine and restaurants, shops and river right next to the hotel.”
Walking distance to the Lourdes Shrine and nearby restaurants and shops. The only downside was that the room had just a shower.
Proximity to the cave and air conditioning were positives. The bathroom had two broken soap dispensers, a broken hair dryer, and a century‑old shower stall; there were no blinds on the windows, and the wardrobe consisted of wall shelves. The view was very unpleasant.
