We arrived to a place that looked completely abandoned, aside from the heat‑stained vegetation. We even wondered if we had the wrong address. This house was nothing like a château, with no exterior upkeep and a gloomy vibe. The price was high, breakfast was not included, and the host greeted us from a chair in a dark garden. No other guests were staying, creating an unsettling atmosphere.

The charm of the property, renovated by its Dutch owner who fell in love with the site, was undeniable. The castle, isolated in a 10‑hectare park, offered the absolute calm we sought. The recently installed, well‑maintained pool was a complete success. The owner’s kindness and attentiveness to our needs were remarkable. There were no particular complaints; everything was thoughtfully arranged and nothing was missing.

“Excellent”

The place was clean, quiet, and the room was comfortable with a very pleasant mattress. A fan was set up for the heat, the bathroom was functional, and the pool came with towels. Breakfast was good. Communicating with the host was easy, and the responses were quick before arrival and during the stay, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Leaving at 10 am felt a bit early, but the host was flexible and accommodating.

The host welcomed us warmly and was very attentive, always ready to help; we enjoyed the pool and ate our own food at a table set up by the housekeeper in front of the pool, and there were no issues.
