We never reached the site in the last 10 minutes because the path was uphill with luggage, yet the cable car view was absolutely amazing. We had booked a few nights at Sonnenberg, took the cable car to the right spot, and realized we couldn't get to the facility without assistance. When we booked, we didn't expect one of us to be pregnant. The hostel claimed they would help with luggage, so I called, and whoever answered spoke rudely, saying this was a hostel, not a hotel, and no one would be sent to help us.

“Nicht noch einmal”

The cabin was spotless, though the decor looked a bit dated. We’d booked it after a hut trek, so we were hoping for a simple stay. The owner was a bit overzealous, making us feel like we had to apologize for being there, which was a bit off‑putting.

The sunset over Jungfrau from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately, we only found out late that after 6 pm you couldn’t check in, and when we finally got in, nobody bothered to confirm who we were.

“Très beau dortoir et agréable”

The view was stunning and the welcome was warm and genuine. We were a bit blindsided to learn that Murren is a car‑free town reached by cable car, and the “warm‑up” climb with luggage turned out to be a real challenge.
