Cozy and the staff are very friendly, but I got an old bungalow that felt a bit lacking in modernity and upkeep.

“Agréable séjour au calme”

The room and linens were spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the setting was quiet and leafy with a well‑kept garden. The staff were kind and always present, and laundry could be done on site. The room was very large, spacious, and equipped with enough furniture to store belongings, plus bedside sockets and a lamp, a kettle, fridge, hot water and a separate shower. There was a big terrace, easy and quick access to the sea, and the same family runs a travel agency and an excellent Thai‑Malaysian restaurant right across the street. Klong Khong’s beach isn’t the best on the island, so it’s quieter and cheaper, with a 7‑Eleven opposite and plenty of restaurants and reasonably priced grocery stores for an island. The downside was the air‑conditioner blowing directly onto the bed, which required a makeshift adjustment to stay “roughly comfortable”. The pillows were too large and too hard. Comfort could be improved by adding a socket and a fan on the terrace, plus more comfortable seating; the two big wooden chairs need cushions, a hammock would be nice, and an outdoor rack for drying laundry is missing.

“New, clean, spacious, comfortable. What more can you ask for?”

I can’t say enough good about this place. I think the best value for quality I’ve ever experienced in South East Asia. First off the rooms are brand new, built just a few months ago, so they look exactly like the pictures. Very big room with the most comfy bed and a big heavy comforter with quality linen. This kind of bed is not found often. AC is clean and very cold with blackout curtains and the bathroom is large and modern. The room is cleaned on request promptly and restocked with everything you need. The location is great with beautiful grounds full of plants and green grass. Very well maintained. Staff always friendly and welcoming. You can book tours and scooters on site as well. Close to many restaurants and the beach but quiet with no noise at night. Don’t hesitate to stay here. The only thing that could be improved is the WiFi speed. It works but is not fast. Probably normal for the island though.

“A nice place to stay in Koh Lanta :)”

The spot’s in the middle of town, rooms feel roomy, spotless, and mostly quiet even though the street’s close; the staff are friendly and attentive, and it’s great that the owners are local, so you’re supporting the community. I’d come back for sure :)
