Bed and Breakfast Špelca

We stayed one night in August; the owner was very kind and prepared a delicious dinner using local products. The environment was very clean. It’s set in a green, hilly area full of fruit trees and pastures, and the location is convenient for getting around.

“Austria-Slovenia”

The Bed and Breakfast is in a rural village near the Postumia Caves, and we had breakfast and dinner there; the owner is very friendly and speaks Italian well enough for us to understand each other. Both meals were more than satisfactory, prepared with products from their own farm and livestock operations. The only drawback was the room’s size – ours was very small, lacked ventilation except for the front door, and had no air conditioning, making it stifling in hot weather. I understand it’s a structural issue, but perhaps it shouldn’t be rented in summer or an AC should be installed. The other rooms were much larger; we booked last minute in August, which might explain the situation.
