The location was great for the national park and the swimming pool was very clean. We kept calling to find out the restaurant closed early instead of the advertised time and the buffet was very restrictive.

Everything about this place—nature, setting, scenery, staff, food—was amazing. I didn’t like that after breakfast ended, even though we were still in the restaurant, they offered the AC but then turned it back on when we asked; it wasn’t a big deal since they switched it back right away.

“Ein perfekter, entspannter Rückzugsort”

We enjoyed a wonderful four‑night stay at Lion Signature, loving the roomy, spotless rooms with AC and a little veranda, the large well‑kept garden, and the huge always‑clean pool. The whole team’s hospitality was the highlight – everyone was incredibly kind and worked hard to make our visit perfect, especially manager Iqbal, who chatted with us constantly and arranged a walk to the nearby mango farm that gave us perhaps the best mangoes we’ve ever tasted; we also want to thank Rohit for greeting us daily in the restaurant, guiding us through the tasty dishes, always smiling and remembering the little things like an extra serving of Shrikhand. Because the resort sits outside the town, you need your own car or a taxi/tuk‑tuk – we knew that beforehand and chose it for the peace it offers; the tuk‑tuk ride to Gir National Park takes about 10‑15 minutes and the hotel can arrange a driver, which worked perfectly for us and wasn’t pricey, so it isn’t really a drawback, just something to keep in mind when booking.
