Hotel O Wisma Jampea

It was okay for me and I found the location great for me. The photos and reality mostly do not match at all. If you expect something to come up, you wouldn't be disappointed. I don't expect much anyway when something is very cheap.

I was surprised to find such a relatively clean, friendly and bright room after the mostly negative feedback from previous guests. In the bathroom there was even a shaving mirror, an absolute rarity in Indonesia. The bathroom was clean, the staff were courteous, and I will stay there again if I ever return to Makassar. The location is also top!

“BED BUGS! Terrible experience — avoid this hotel”

I had already paid for my booking online, but when I arrived, the staff demanded that I pay additional money at check-in. This was completely unacceptable and made the whole situation feel dishonest. The room was also extremely dirty and clearly had not been cleaned properly. Worst of all, there appeared to be bed bugs. After staying here, I was left with numerous bites and visible marks on my body. I would not recommend Wisma Jampea to anyone. Being asked for extra money after already paying, combined with the poor hygiene and suspected bed-bug infestation, made this one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. Avoid staying here
