“すごしやすいホテル”
The room was spacious and clean, and the location was convenient and excellent. The staff on the first floor were very helpful, and the hotel occupies floors 14 to 16 of the building, which has three elevators, so you don’t have to wait long.
“A beautiful town, but the hotel was terrible.”
The only perk of the hotel was its location. Each floor hosts different functions—offices, another hotel, etc.—so elevator waits become lengthy. The staff can't speak English and are clueless about reservations. Breakfast is a scam: you’re sent to a nearby restaurant where you must pay for a meal even though your booking includes breakfast. Room cleanliness is lacking.
The place was clean and well‑located, but the breakfast was disappointing.
The location was great, just a short walk from Tianmen Mountain, and the reception ladies were very pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, but there was no internet access, which I think is more due to the Great Wall than the hotel itself.
Two bottles of water are provided daily, the room is large, bright, and clean, and it’s a 25‑minute walk from the train station. To catch the bus number 4 to the airport, you pass the nearby McDonald’s, then the cableway is behind you and a few meters ahead; the stop is right there. Buses run from 5:50 am and cost 2 yuan. The hotel is hard to find, but a lady helped me. Staff don’t speak English, there’s no tea or coffee in the room, and a safe is missing. Breakfast is odd—you have to go to a nearby restaurant that serves only pasta in the morning, with no choice, and the staff only speak Chinese but are friendly.
