The staff, location/view, breakfast, and gym/courts were awesome, but the cold, unpleasant weather forced us to spend a lot of time inside, revealing several shortcomings despite the €600+ nightly price. The pools are not heated by default; heating to 26 °C is possible for an extra €40 per day, but it takes at least 48 hours to reach that temperature, and the wind often prevents it from ever reaching it, which is common for a cliff‑top hotel overlooking the sea. The room, while stylish, is uncomfortable: the sofa looks nice but is very hard, the space between the bed and the wall is cramped, and a person sleeping next to the wall must squeeze past a sharp‑edged marble table and a floor step to get out of bed safely. The sea‑facing windows lack sound insulation, so we had to use earplugs during strong winds. We hoped to use the spa to warm up, but access is only possible with a massage or hammam package, priced roughly twice as high as other four‑ and five‑star hotels on Crete. We booked massages, only to find the sauna small, without basic headrests or backrests, and its door doesn’t close properly. The most disappointing part was the extremely bright, artificial LED lighting inside the sauna, which completely ruined the relaxing atmosphere.

The resort is absolutely beautiful, the staff are very attentive, and the rooms are amazing, but we unfortunately had bad weather during our stay.
