The hotel arranged our taxi to and from the airport, even in the middle of the night. Breakfast was fine, and for our overnight flight they prepared a breakfast package with a pancake with jam and a banana – very nice. The staff spoke good English. The location is top in the city center. The windows did not lock properly and a mosquito net was missing.

A true corner of peace in the heart of Antananarivo. After a day in the chaotic city, arriving at Maison d’Hôte Mandrasoa felt like stepping into an oasis: a beautiful garden perfect for relaxing, reading, and enjoying a spectacular sunset. The property is fascinating, with genuinely evocative colonial architecture, but what we appreciated most was the kindness and care of the staff, always attentive and available. A gesture that really impressed us: when we left at midnight for the airport, they prepared a take‑away breakfast for us. An unexpected level of attention that made us feel truly welcomed and pampered. A special place we absolutely recommend!

The hotel is close to the boulevard (Independence Boulevard) and the market, built during the colonial era. You can walk out and explore on your own; just carry your bag in front of you. I didn’t have any problems. Hot water in the bathroom comes a little late, so you need to wait a bit. Clean room and bathroom. Friendly and helpful female staff. They organized a 4‑hour walking city tour for 60,000 Ariary, which I was very satisfied with. It was very cold when we left for the tour in the morning, but they provided a jacket at my request, so thank you very much – I could walk comfortably. They also organized an airport transfer for 70,000 Ariary. Breakfast was a standard tourist breakfast: tea/coffee + butter + jam + 2 eggs + fruit juice and fresh fruit. There was also a menu‑style dinner, but since there was only one menu, you could also eat at nearby restaurants. The hotel did not provide a face towel; only a large bath towel was left.
