The location was excellent and the staff were friendly. The room was spacious, but the noise was a huge issue—the courtyard nightclub blasted music so loud it rattled the walls, and street noise seeped in, making it impossible to sleep. The breakfast was poor. If you’re in the center, it’s fine, but if you need rest, look elsewhere.

“Central to everything, exceptional customer service!”

La Posada Del Fraile is located just 1 minute from the Arequipa Plaza. Handy to restaurants, cafes, shops, tourist attractions, and pharmacy. Just opposite to the Hostal is a healthy cafe. Rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff replaced towels every day. There is a beautiful terrace on the top and other living rooms where you can sit and have your coffee. The breakfast was included in the price. They made it for us fresh juice. Choice of coffee or tea, nice fresh bread eggs, ham, and avocado. Customer service was exceptional from the helpful and courteous receptionist Sonmy and Estefani to the kitchen staff Hermelinda y Vicky. The noise from the nightclubs on the weekends but most of the hotels, hostels and other accommodation has same problem due to proximity to Arequipa central plaza. My room was having a double glass protection from weather and noise. This helped to minimise noise. There is no lift in the premises, but staff help us to carry our luggage to our rooms on the third floor
