“Any other month other than October likely would have been very good.”
The resort matched the photos and the staff helped out during the day; the continental breakfast was tasty and homemade. I suggest taking the puddle jumper plane because the car ride is slow due to speed bumps. Don’t visit in October – many places close, bars and tours shut down, and the sargassum smell can be unbearable. That’s also when hotels and restaurants do renovations, so the hotel should have lowered its rates. The walk‑out beach isn’t really walk‑out when sargassum is present. If it had been another month, we could have enjoyed everything, like paddle boards and kayaks. Note that the bar prices at the hotel are higher than nearby bars, though those places are very close.
