The host and hostess were friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was delicious, and everything was spotlessly clean—no issues at all.

The people are so pleasant, very professional, and they greet you with kindness and human warmth; it’s pure joy! We’d love to stay longer. Nothing to add.

I can’t overstate how wonderful this Gîte is; if you want a stay that feels part of the holiday experience, Gîte Vita Bella fits the bill. The entire property is modern, spacious, and supremely comfortable. Two of the three guest rooms face the lake, but honestly, the seating areas around the property—inside and out—mean you’ll rarely need to stay in your room, so you’ll enjoy the great views from the large balcony shown in the main photo. So don’t worry about picking a room; just book before they’re gone! The room could hold one large suitcase, and there was a table where another could be opened entirely, which was a huge bonus. The property is on a single level with wooden floors, making it easy to move cases in and out. Hosts Line and Tom were incredibly welcoming, helped us start our day right with a great breakfast, and had solid recommendations for evening dining. We didn’t take any of the lake trails or activities because my husband had mobility issues, so we drove to nearby villages and towns instead. One thing to note: you’ll need a car to get anywhere for food. If you’re after a beautiful, peaceful spot to read, enjoy nature, and spend hours in a comfortable setting away from the town’s bustle, this is the place for you. The only downside is that we hadn’t booked more nights here!
