The lights went out for 3 hours, no power, and the hotel had no generator. Breakfast was awful, and at night rats were running in the courtyard, garden, and the whole hotel area—it's terrible!!!

The beachfront location was spot‑on, quiet, and not crowded with tourists. The small hotel felt like a family place and the staff were very kind and helpful, arranging excursions without being pushy. For those wanting to experience local life, the landward side gives a good glimpse. On the downside, the water was lukewarm, there were frequent power cuts and no Wi‑Fi, and the reception was poor—power outages left you cut off from the outside world. Standing on the landward side puts you right in a local village, which isn’t negative but worth knowing; this is typical of Zanzibar and gives a solid sense of “real” Zanzibar.

“Je reviendrai au même endroit même si je trouve la plage de Paje plus jolie”

Communication was great, the rooms were quiet and well laid out, and the pool and beach were just 10 seconds away! Breakfast was good, and the vibe in Jambiani was authentic. The Hassan and Gerezani restaurants were excellent and inexpensive, just 5 minutes away. The nearby bike rental costs $8. Everything else was perfect.

Coco Beach in Jambiani turned out to be a hidden treasure; the scenery is stunning, the staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful, making you feel at home right from the start, and the beachfront spot is ideal with plenty of restaurants and cafés within walking distance—this stay was among the best I've had, and I’ll definitely return.

I enjoyed the Seafoodplatter, the morning horse riding, and the nighttime waves—it was truly relaxing.
