“Super”

Nice location, a lovely house with a great pool and bar. It’s wonderful to order cocktails and food from the pool area and then enjoy the river and the monkeys in the house. Nothing to complain about.

The service was top‑class and the rooms were excellent, overlooking the river exactly as shown in the photos. The air‑conditioning was essential because the windows fogged up quickly, blocking the view. Few places are as tidy and modern, but the price was steep. The staff were super friendly and helpful; English was limited, yet a phone translator made communication easy. Breakfast and the pool were fine, and we also used the facilities at the adjacent Bamboo Lodges, which worked well. The location was perfect, right in the village. The rooms were spotless and offered complimentary snacks. The only thing I missed was a laundry option to hang clothes or clean gear after a jungle trek; the village does have a laundry service, and the hotel also offers it. The acoustics were poor: the room was clean but bland, and the tile floor made the place noisy. I could always hear neighbors upstairs or beside me moving chairs, and a Chinese family next to us made a lot of noise, which was unfortunate.
