The place was a breeze to locate and a stone’s throw from the CBD, which was a big plus. But the moment I opened the door, a strong sewer smell hit me, so I had to keep the room door and window open. There were no towels or bathmat, the wood in the room was rotting, and the bathroom was freezing cold because the high windows couldn’t be shut.

The room was clean and tidy, which I appreciated, but the fridge was so cold it froze everything inside, making it hard to keep food fresh.

Walking from the motel to the CBD was easy, but the bed was in need of replacement and felt pretty uncomfortable.
