The location and staff were fine, and the coffee in the morning was good, but the shared toilet room was dirty with stained walls, the portable A/C unit was disconnected and missing parts, the ground‑floor window needed to be open for airflow yet felt unsafe with only a wooden rod propping it, the bar area was a bit noisy, and the door opened straight into the bed.

The place has unbeatable location and a charming vibe, but the room was tiny as expected, had no air conditioning, was street‑level so the window was noisy when open, the toilets clogged easily, and the shower was mediocre.

“Opt for the Ballard Hotel and skip the Inn!”

The staff were helpful and attentive, but the street‑level room had no sound buffer, the window A/C unit made it impossible to close the blinds fully and there were no blackout curtains so it was bright early, and the room was so small that the door hit the bed on entry.
