New Wilmington Hotel

Breakfast was reasonable and the service was good, but the muesli at breakfast was lacking.

“Nice stay!”

The place is nice and close to the beach, and the staff were friendly.

“A great hotel, great location and great price.”

We spent one evening there and had no complaints at all. The hotel was spotless, the staff charming and helpful, and it sits immediately behind the Grand Hotel, just two minutes from the seafront. Parking works well with a £2.50 permit available from the hotel. The rooms are sufficient, perfectly clean, and the bed is comfortable. Breakfast is absolutely decent. I only saw three different staff members, but they work hard, are super polite and helpful, and are a credit to the establishment. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. On recent trips to Eastbourne we’ve stayed at seafront hotels that are overpriced and show a faded grandeur of their former days; this hotel is different. It has a history, but the current management are doing an excellent job and it’s half the price of a seafront hotel. Honestly, I can recommend it enough. Nothing… spot on for the money we paid.

“All good, slept ok. Great location”

The location was great. The room felt stuffy.

“Hotel management does not care about its customers”

Our room was partially without electricity. The television, lights and tea/coffee-making facilities were not working the first night. Despite complaints, the hotel management disregarded our messages.
