“A disappointing "budget" option without the budget pricing”
We paid almost $350 a night and expected more. The place feels worn out, has a bad smell, and the hot tub—our main reason for booking—was broken. The so‑called “apartment” layout is cramped and awkward, and the beds are uncomfortable. Getting in is tough because you have to carry your stuff across a foot bridge over the river. The lounge is okay, but breakfast is just mediocre unless you enjoy soggy, stale croissants. It also looks like the online reviews are skewed: the overall rating is 8.2, but no category ever scores above 6.7. The management company, RedAwning, bombards you with too many emails that give little information and poor customer service. On the bright side, Miller, the on‑site manager, was very responsive when we sent an email on the first night. In the morning he left a note on our door offering to transfer us to the Mountainside Inn downriver. We accepted, and the Mountainside was extremely comfortable, well run, and the hot tub worked. Thanks, Miller! The place could use a cleaner, better smell, a proper kitchen if it’s an apartment, and a renovation; it’s overpriced.
