Taksim Sem House

The location is absolutely fantastic,just a 3-minute walk to the metro, Taksim Square, and Istiklal Street. The room had a nice balcony, excellent air conditioning, and a very comfortable bed. I also really appreciated being able to make tea and coffee at the reception. Lastly, the host was always available, responsive, and very helpful. Nothing, everything was great!

The place sits right next to a transport hub, with metro and bus lines nearby, on a quiet street. The room we booked was spacious and came with a nice little terrace, which was great. The beds were comfortable and clean, the bathroom was functional and good. The room had a fridge, washing machine, kettle, and a stove. I’d highlight the staff’s friendliness, flexibility, and helpfulness; we could turn to them for anything and they solved it. We came to Istanbul because we needed a reliable base to start our city explorations each day, and the accommodation met all those needs: a terrace, private bathroom, AC, fridge, and a place to unwind. The room’s equipment was a bit lacking: there’s no dish‑washer next to the sink, few utensils, plates, and no hair dryer in the bathroom—these should be added. A maintenance check would help too; the shower tap in the bathroom is incomplete.

“Friendly people”

The staff were friendly and helpful. When I arrived, the shower wasn’t hooked up and the AC didn’t work – they moved me to another room.

“احقر سكن في حياتي”

Nothing I liked; the place was awful. The owner put me on the top floor even though I’m 60 and the stairs are exhausting and bad.

Being close to the metro on a quiet street was great. There was no elevator.
