The room was a bit too warm, but the Wi‑Fi was spot‑on and the staff were friendly. The mattress was a bit hard and the room felt cramped.
No heating at all – it was freezing.
Nothing good. The conditions were awful – the bed was terrible and dirty, and when we asked for a double they just put two small beds together. There were no restaurants or even a coffee shop on site. The room didn't match the photos; the picture showed a jacuzzi, but we only had a plain tub. I wouldn't recommend it – they charge a lot but give zero comfort.
“Akorát, na nic si to nehraje”
The dorm was cozy and just enough for a student stay. There were plenty of spots to chill, grab a drink, and stay out late. I liked Groša21 and Café35 for meals, and Billa was open until 23:00. The nearest bus line 280 takes you to the metro at G. M. Dimitrov, which gets you to the city centre or the airport. The downside is the local buses are often packed and delayed, especially at night, and the early‑morning runs are a bit unreliable if you have a flight.
Twenty minutes by bus from the centre, close to clubs and restaurants, the area has a lively young vibe. You can park next to the building and the room has mosquito nets – fine for a night or two in the capital. The staff were unhelpful; we lost water for hours and the woman just shrugged. Noise from adjacent rooms and floors was constant, and the bathroom smelled like a septic tank.
