We loved the location and the ease of getting around the French Quarter; we upgraded to a windowed room for an extra $15 per night because the original room had no window. The hand shower head leaked and pressure was low, and the carpets could use a steam clean as they left lint on our feet.

The location was great, the room was large, staff were helpful, and the courtyard was nice, but the carpets were almost at the end of their life and the first‑floor coffee area had a mildew odor.

The location was great—close to Bourbon Street yet still quiet—plus the pool was fantastic and parking via valet was a breeze. The front desk handled luggage on arrival and departure smoothly, even when I had a big cooler; thanks, guys. However, between 10-11pm I spotted a few rats darting around the courtyard; a few traps might fix that, and while I understand it's New Orleans, seeing them while sipping wine in the courtyard was unsettling.
