Host & Stay - Woodroffe Arms

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but it was very dark and could have brighter lighting. There was no welcome pack and the staff seemed unhappy handing out the Wi‑Fi code. We weren’t told we could have breakfast at Old Hall across the road at a reduced rate until it was too late, and a local employee told us about it on our last day. No info was given about leaving except the time, and no instructions on what to do with the room keys – we just left them in the door and went.

The beds were comfy, the place was spotless, staff were friendly and super helpful, but there was no Wi‑Fi and the lighting was too dim to do makeup.

“Decent”

The staff were fantastic, rooms clean and comfy, food tasty and reasonably priced, yet the bathroom’s towel radiator blasted at full power with no control, and it was already hot outside.
