The homey vibe and beautiful interior made it a pleasure, though the style left something to be desired.

We found the accommodations very comfortable, and Paul and Fiona have done a wonderful job of creating a very welcoming and pleasant guesthouse; their breakfast menu offers a wide selection and our food was prepared and presented with so much care! The location is within easy walking distance of the walled town where many of the main tourist attractions are found, and there was really nothing that we didn’t like about it.

Our stay at MonkBridge House was great; Paul and Fiona made us feel very welcome, check‑in was easy, our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts are delicious. The location is near the Minster and other sites in York, and I would definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone interested in visiting York, with nothing to complain about.
