There was nothing positive to note. The fee they quoted for getting to the hotel after I booked was outrageous, and I never actually set foot there.

The pictures on the website didn’t match reality at all; when I arrived I saw the truth with my own eyes and spent a night there. Upon arrival the rates were higher than advertised and we were forced to pay, the tent‑bed was covered in sand, the shower was broken, dinner was nothing like the photos, Wi‑Fi was weak and only worked in the restaurant, and the camels needed cleaning. While I appreciated the driver, the camp staff and the camel handler, the supervisor Hamza communicated poorly. I think people should verify places before awarding five stars because the images are misleading; thanks to the team I use frequently.

I can’t write a truthful review because I never stayed there and cancelled the reservation before arrival. When I tried to book (17 € per person) the property called to say that was only a placeholder price and that, once mandatory extra services were added, the cost rose to 55 € each, totalling 165 €. I cancelled immediately, which I consider dishonest; apparently this trick is common in Merzouga and finding an honest innkeeper is tough. No hard feelings—cancellation done and that’s it. From the photos the place still looks quite nice.

I tried to find out where the meeting point was, but nobody would tell me. All I got was a demand to pay before I even knew the location.
