The Cabane Affranchie is a tiny bed‑and‑breakfast with three rooms, part of the Victor Charlot champagne house, located in the very calm village of Moussy a few kilometres south of Épernay; the welcome was wonderfully kind, the rooms were clean, fresh, neat and comfortable, and a common lounge with a fridge, snacks and champagne (not included) was available; breakfast was served by one of the owners in a buffet with rotating local products that were delicious, and free parking was in front of the property—what a pleasure!

“Zeer goed”

The setting was quiet, the service friendly, small and cosy; we were welcomed immediately and received a glass of champagne, the place was very clean, especially the minibar in the evening; we could relax and have another glass of champagne at our leisure, the area was beautiful and right next to the vineyards, and breakfast was excellent. The only downside was that in the afternoon there were sometimes no staff to serve drinks or tapas, which we found a bit disappointing.

“Un séjour authentique dans une région magnifique”

The room and the common areas are beautifully decorated in a modern, English cottage style, very cozy; breakfast was perfect with good salty and sweet items; parking is very easy, and the welcome is simple and authentic; I was a bit worried about noise because the room faces a road, but we were never disturbed by it; overall an excellent value for money.

“Niedliches Haus mit schönen Zimmern und gutem Frühstück”

Breakfast was very tasty, the house is charmingly renovated, our room was beautiful with comfortable beds, the location is convenient for those driving—car parking is right across from the accommodation and Épernay is not far; in summer you can sit outside in a small courtyard or in a nicely furnished vestibule on the upper floor in front of the guest rooms. It would have been helpful to note in the description that there is no door between the bathroom/toilet and the bedroom.
