Spotlessly clean. I had the whole upstairs to myself. They offered a bunch of free goodies like cereals, Tassimo coffee, and hot chocolate—little extras that show the host cares. There’s a hot plate, microwave, and oven. The price is great; others should match this value.

Maid Marion's Retreat is easy to locate, has off‑street parking, and is a 10‑15 minute walk to shops, restaurants, eateries, and a Tesco Superstore. The host provides plenty for guests, whether staying overnight or longer. I liked the clear labeling and wide range of cooking tools—it felt like staying with a family member. The room was thoughtfully designed, with plenty of tea/coffee facilities, and I appreciated the snacks. The price doesn’t reflect the generosity and thoughtfulness of the host.

Everything to like about this stay. The host is wonderful. Complimentary breakfast items are a lovely touch. The kitchen, complete with a microwave and more, is excellent, and milk is also in the fridge. The bed is comfy, the area is quiet, and it’s good value for money.
