“Unless you overhaul maintenance and hygiene, I will NOT recommend Oyo Ekta Houseboat”

It is an excellent location, and this is its ONLY redeeming quality. In all honesty, for an Oyo facility, it lacked basic facilities and I will not recommend a stay at this property for the following reasons. 1) no running hot water (geyser for show; staff used electric prongs to heat water in buckets; bed sheets and towels were not changed even once during the visit; waste baskets were never emptied; except for the bed, there was no room service) 2) black fungus grew prolifically throughout the rooms and along the windows throughout the boat, creating a health hazard 4) Asked staff to help with cleanng car. it would never done once throughout the stay. 5) BIGGEST REASON . this is not a senior citizen and disabled friendly property. Was MISLED on the phone by the owner about this and accessibility! Owner also lied about living near the premises when he was based in Ahmedabad!

The location is great. The cleanliness was terrible: the bathroom didn’t drain, towels looked unwashed, and the houseboat was moored unsafely. Staff were friendly but unprofessional. It was very expensive; better facilities were available for half the price. We had booked two nights but left after the first and found a safer place. The property felt unsafe overall.

The place itself is great for unwinding and relaxing, but the location is a problem because there’s no transportation or food available during my stay.
