The complex was quieter than other resorts, but the facilities looked worn out, probably due to their age. The all‑day buffet offered very little variety; it was always the same dishes. I had visited other resorts where the facilities and restaurants were of better quality, so it felt odd that Sian Ka'an, supposedly the best category, fell short. Moreover, despite the heat, the air conditioners in the dining area were not used.

The room had a clean, upscale look, was nice, tidy, and spacious. I’m not really upset, but you need to be ready for how aggressively the animals and insects are there—keep some spray handy and watch your surroundings when eating outside. The bugs swarm around the door when you open it, and the clean with the doors open means you’ll have visitors. The penthouse is cool, but there should at least be a small shaded spot or a place to sit under when it rains.

The hotel is pleasant to stay in, with its various pools and many quiet spots to relax. There are numerous shows every day, many of good or very good quality, notably “Origen,” which I enjoyed a lot. The room was very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. There are often shuttles to move around the resort, which is very convenient. It’s very nice to live “with” the wildlife and see that they are respected by everyone. The food quality was mediocre, and while I understand that an All‑Inclusive must stay profitable, the Sian Ka'an buffet was surprisingly bad and I had to taste everything. Also, having the option to eat at restaurants but no possibility of booking for the week feels unprofessional. It feels like you’re being taken advantage of and not getting value in terms of budget. I didn’t find the staff generally pleasant; I felt I was always disturbing them. Some people were great, but overall it wasn’t a positive experience, especially since I don’t tip for every drink, which didn’t help my case.

Excellent service, very good food, attentive and friendly staff, everything clean. I think they forget, probably because most guests are foreigners, that we are in Mexico, and many of the pool activities’ instructions are in English. In the room, all channels are English and there’s no option on the remote to change the language; all extra activity prices are promoted in dollars. That feels disrespectful because foreigners should adapt to the country they visit.
