When we asked, they served an amazing breakfast, the city view was superb, and the tea selection was also great; we had a wonderful time here.
Everything was unbelievably beautiful, we felt like we were in paradise and were lovingly cared for; Niski is a fantastic cook.
“It is my best experience in Sri Lanka.”
1. The room’s layout was far prettier than the photos, everything was simply gorgeous, and it became the happiest, most moving, unforgettable memory of my ten‑day trip to Sri Lanka, with the host couple feeling like family to my son and me – I love them so much. 2. Auntie Nishi’s taste is superb; every corner of the room reflects her extraordinary style, from the bed to the sofa, from the various paintings on the walls to each small piece of furniture, from the bathroom layout to the tea station, from the towel arrangement to the large floor‑standing coat rack – every detail shows her taste and care. 3. The house sits on a mountain; sitting on the swing outside our room we could overlook Kandy below, the early morning breeze was cool, the sunshine warm, the night below the city glittered, the mountain breeze was refreshing – all extremely pleasant. Auntie Nishi’s home has a beautifully manicured garden and lawn, perfect for stargazing, chatting, and exchanging gifts at night, making life feel wonderfully simple. 4. That evening we didn’t want to go down to the city for dinner, so we asked Auntie Nishi to prepare a meal; she said she was short on time and could only make something quick, yet she surprised us in less than an hour. Her cooking was amazing, matching her taste; we were very happy, and when she heard my son didn’t eat mushrooms she immediately made fried rice for him again, and she also served ice cream for dessert – my son was thrilled. 5. Auntie Nishi’s husband was very friendly and knowledgeable; we talked a lot and he asked many questions about China, social conditions, and traditional customs – I enjoyed this cultural exchange and think that’s the real meaning of travel. I hope they can visit China, and I’d love to be their guide and show them the country’s great scenery. 6. My son and I were reluctant to leave; I wish I could have stayed in Kandy longer, but the rest of the itinerary was already set. I was almost moved to tears, feeling they were like family. Auntie Nishi offered to take my son back when I had free time, and they would look after him – I loved that idea. I know I’ll have to come back here next time I visit Kandy. 7. Love you all, and I miss you – Grandma and Grandpa. Nothing else to add.
“Wonderful”
It was a truly special experience; sharing space with such wonderful hosts in their spectacular home felt like a privilege.
“Spero di tornare un giorno a salutarli di nuovo”
It’s a very elegant place with antique furnishings, far from the bustle of Kandy (15 min by tuk‑tuk). I stayed alone like a princess, but the room is actually very romantic; the shower is phenomenal, and there’s a private terrace. I always dined there and ate very well. Staying in such a beautiful place and going out is crazy… Mrs. Nishii’s manners, courtesy, and kindness are admirable, and her husband is also very affable. I felt at home and treated like a friend/sister/child. She helped me solve a problem and assisted me with everything; she even washed and folded my laundry. What else can I say? I didn’t want to leave! Everything was more than perfect.
