“Très mauvaise expérience”
It’s a handy stop on our road‑trip, sitting right at the crossroads for visiting ksar ouled sultan, Chenini and qsar Hadada. We booked two nights with breakfast included, but on arrival there was no lift and no one offered to carry my luggage while I was alone with two kids. The first night in room 101 I discovered a bed bug on the sheet; when I went down to reception they insisted it was a tick and claimed there were no bed bugs at all. Back in the room I found many clove‑shaped marks on the mattresses, the sheets stained with black spots and tiny blood traces, which left me very uneasy and I forgot to take photos. The staff couldn’t handle it, so they called the manager who moved me to a suite for the night while they checked if a triple room would be free the next day. The second night we were given room 201, which was better than the first and even had a fridge that 101 lacked. All the rooms were badly sound‑proofed, with hallway chatter and staff noise drifting in. Breakfast was industrial‑style with no choice. On day 1 I asked for tea because they didn’t serve coffee or milk, and they said there was no tea. I requested orange juice and was offered a carton of industrial juice. On day 2 they told me juice cost extra but tea or an infusion was available (see photo). The pool only got sun for part of the morning; after 2 pm there was no sun and the water was dirty, with clumps of hair and tissues at the bottom. This hotel certainly doesn’t deserve three stars and is far from worth the price paid – I’ve never been so disappointed after spending that much for such mediocrity.

The pool water was dirty and insufficient, general cleanliness was poor with few towels, the restaurant lacked proper equipment and had dirty tables, and a waiter sweeping the floor also dusted a dining‑room piece of furniture with the same broom. The bathroom had no hairdryer and cockroaches. We asked for breakfast at 6:30 a.m.; the waiter arrived exactly then, but the coffee machine needed a 20‑minute warm‑up, so we left without a proper drink.
