Hampton Inn by Hilton Costa Mesa Newport Beach

The Hampton Inn is always my first pick; it’s consistently a solid option. However, the mattress in my room was awful, and the bed made terrible noises that made us laugh, while my husband had to sleep on a literal sag on his side.

The staff were friendly, the receptionist girl was very helpful, and the room was spotless. The breakfast was surprisingly luxurious for the price.

The hotel is clean, the staff are accommodating, the equipment is modern, cleaning is regular, there’s a coffee maker in the room, and there are enough parking spaces. The location on the highway, the uninviting surroundings, the lack of food options, the monotonous breakfast of paper plates with plastic cutlery, the absence of a pool, and the small fitness centre are all negatives.
