“This is not a hotel”
We turned up around 11.30 PM after a grueling travel day with a reservation for two rooms and breakfast, only to find the receptionist taken aback and the check‑in dragging on; the lobby felt more like a quick‑turnover spot as couples zipped in and out, and I even saw a sign that rooms could be booked for just an hour or two. Inside, it became obvious this was a rendez‑vous venue: drinks and condoms lay beside the bed, a foul odor lingered, the bathroom had a glass door, and there were no sheets—clearly meant for short stays. We stayed until 6 AM because the area felt unsafe and it was already past midnight, enduring noisy couples and loud cleaning staff in the corridors. The bill listed a charge to Sintra Restaurant rather than the hotel, confirming my suspicion it isn’t a proper hotel, and the receptionist told us breakfast wasn’t included despite the reservation, forcing us to pay extra. I’d gladly pay for a decent breakfast elsewhere, but not here, and I hope future guests are warned that this is a meet‑up place, not a family‑friendly hotel.
