Growing up nearby made this place feel like home; the house‑turned‑boutique hotel was spacious, the bed and room were comfy, the views were lovely, and the host was gorgeous.

The breakfast was wonderful, fresh and beautifully presented either inside or on the patio overlooking the fynbos garden and mountain; the room and bathroom were big, comfortable, and nicely decorated; the downstairs area was huge with plenty of seating in different spots; the décor was stunning; the honesty bar was appreciated; coffee was available all day; the room was very light thanks to the huge sliding doors and windows all around; Ros looked after us attentively without being pushy; the location in a quiet cul‑de‑sac made it easy to reach the places we visited; parking in the garage was a pleasant surprise; overall it was a fabulous find and I’ll return if there’s availability. The only downside was the lack of Netflix, though DSTV was available.

The spot was convenient and quiet, but there was no air conditioning and the single access window let in mosquitoes because there was no screen.
