Hotel Orion, situated in Sosnowiec's quiet area, is 10 km from Katowice and 8 km from Silesia-Expo exhibition and trade fair centre. Free Wi-Fi is available in every room, which features warmly coloured, pastel decor, a bathroom with shower, and a phone. The hotel offers a paid car park, public parking nearby, and an airport shuttle at an extra charge, along with in-room TVs.

I paid over 70 PLN for breakfast for two people. At that price I could have had sandwiches with lousy ham or fruit yoghurts, and that was it. There was scrambled eggs, but when I got to the breakfast area around 6:35 (breakfast 6:30‑9:30) they were gone. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t have a typical dining room with its own kitchen, and food is delivered. It’s not worth buying breakfast; you can only grab a few pastries and bad ham.

Despite the paid parking under the hotel, there are plenty of parking spots nearby. There is no air‑conditioning, so it’s hard to endure the heat, and the electrical outlets were hopelessly misplaced (none near the bed).
