It was clearly recently renovated, yet basic hospitality standards were missing. We had to wait for the host in the heat next to the garbage at the building’s entrance. The fridge didn’t even have a bottle of water. The bathroom lacked a towel holder, toilet paper, and the welcome kit. The body wash was a half‑liter supermarket container that had already been used. There was no mosquito net at the window, and the blackout curtain was too tight, letting light in before dawn. The green emergency light stayed on all night, and the bed and pillows weren’t particularly comfortable.
