Pousada do Altar

“Um pouco decepcionado.”

The outdoor area was beautiful, yet it was far from the city. The entrance was dangerous, lacking a curb and poorly marked on the road. The pools were dirty and empty because children of the staff used them. Wi‑fi signal in the rooms was weak. The bathroom shower had a weak flow. There was no covered parking area for cars. Staff were unprepared in their service.

Tiago welcomed us with a smile and was super helpful. The place is pretty, cozy, and the breakfast was amazing – farm‑fresh and comfortable. The only downside is the distance; it’s on the highway outside town, but it’s worth it.

The lodge looked like a charming little farm, quiet and lovely, with friendly staff and a tasty breakfast. The outdoor space had a pool, gym, and a cute dog that made us smile. The only hiccup was the shower – the coil heater left us cold at night and in the mornings, and it would have helped to have electric heating.
