The dormitory-style room had separate rooms, but it lacked ventilation—no air was coming out. It's risky if someone is ill, as the whole room could get sick. They should install an exhaust fan for proper ventilation.

“A good discovery in Makati”

This is the first time I stayed at an inn in Makati and I wanted to try a price-friendlier option in that area. I honestly hoped that Amax Inn will live up to its score and reviews. I cancelled a pricier stay at a nearby 4-star hotel. The location is 1 block away from Chino Roces. Thus, looking for food or bars is not an issue. You just have to walk. The street where it is located is quiet and with lots of rentals being right smack in the CBD. The breakfast was good and their breakfast area was clean and comfortable. The lack of elevator is not an issue considering our room was just in the 2nd floor. While the property is not new, its facilities are the version that are meant to last. The bathroom was spotless and I love that their hot/cold shower came from a tank vs an auto heater. The beds and blankets were comfortable. Overall, a beautiful discovery in Makati. While there was parking available, I hated that there was dog shit in front. Luckily, our SUV's wheels missed it. As this is a residential area, dog shit been known to happen. It's been a long while since I encountered them
