“Correct but not great”

The staff is professional and kind. The facilities and rooms are clean. the hotel is old, you have the feeling it has been slightly facelifted but the bathrooms, lobby, lifts etc are from the 80's and really outdated. My room was composed of 2 single beds instead of a queen or king bed and when I called the front desk to complain nobody answered

“Une mauvaise surprise.”

The place is just a stone’s throw from the station and public transport, and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices and good quality. We needed a shower because of age, asked the reception for one of the few rooms that actually had one and were given room 601, which turned out to be a disappointment: the door and hallway were extremely narrow, the room itself barely 15 m² instead of the 20 m² we expected, the bedside tablet was tiny, the gap between the bed and the wardrobe was cramped, there was nowhere to set a suitcase and only a single chair. The bathroom was tiny with a mandatory sliding door, as narrow as the shower itself; the taps were old‑fashioned with separate hot and cold controls that were hard to balance, and the power socket didn’t work.

“Perfect Place to Stay”

Traveling by train, the spot was spot-on for us, especially if you’re heading to Historic Geneva, the lakefront, or on a business trip. The place was quiet, and the front desk team made checking in and out a breeze. The room was roomy, nicely decorated, spotless, and came with a fridge, a safe, and water/tea/coffee. The bed was comfy, and there were plenty of outlets for phones and the like. On Sunday, the restaurant turned breakfast into lunch, serving a lovely brunch that suited any guest. The only downside was the bar shutting early on a Saturday night, even though there were customers; the bartender mentioned it was because of Ferragosto hours.
