Herbert Valley Motel, located 350 metres from Tyto Wetlands, offers free on-site parking, Wi-Fi, and an indoor pool. Air-conditioned rooms feature a fridge, electric kettle, flat-screen TV, and en-suite bathroom with shower. The motel provides a tour desk, barbecue equipment, laundry facilities, and room service. It's 3.6 km from Victoria Mill, 30 minutes from Lucinda Jetty, and 1 hour from Wallaman Falls and Mission Beach.

It was good to go. There was no restaurant.

The location was good. Having a microwave and toaster in the room was useful, and the hot water for the shower worked very well. A huge cockroach jumped out of one of the beds when I pulled back the covers! The double‑bed mattress sagged in the middle and was uncomfortable. The toaster was old and only worked on one side. The flood light outside the room lit the room up at night; heavier curtains or blinds are needed to block it out.

The room was roomy and came with a kettle and toaster, and parking was right outside the door. It was surprisingly quiet even though it’s on a busy highway, and the lady at reception gave a very friendly welcome.
